Brenda Moore

Brenda Joyce Moore was born on May 4, 1950, to the late Willie Moore, Sr. and Ruth Reed. She departed this life on March 13, 2019. She died at her residence in Iowa LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers - Willie Moore Jr., Lord Anthony (Pip) Moore, Floyd Moore; 3 sisters - Margaret Lute, Berry Granderson, and Rose Charles.

She was baptized at Zion Travelers Baptist Church at an early age, under the leadership of Reverend Johnson and was still a member under the current Pastor, Herman Weston. She worked for CARC for 10 years. She moved to Fort Dix, New Jersey to live with John and Faye Charles. She was a big sister to Phyllis and Andre.

Brenda was devoted to her family. She was a loving and giving person, always willing to lend a helping hand. She was loved by everyone, especially by God.

Cherishing her memories are: her sisters - Maudry Marshall, Wilma Fay Charles, Catherine (Lawrence) Perrodin, Francis Elaine Moore, Gwendolyn (Carnell) Marable, all of Iowa, LA, and one brother, Kenneth (Amelia) Moore Sr. of Temple Hill, MD; 9 godchildren-Erin Mitchell, of Austria, Germany, Staci Carter of Houston TX, Kellie Lambert of Lake Charles LA, Cicely Moore of Baton Rouge Baton Rouge, LA, Floyd Nora of Denver CO, Kelsey Breaux of Mobile AL, Ramia Hunter of Atlanta GA, Mya Clayton of Iowa, LA, and her niece, Tatannisha Brown, whom she cherished; a special first cousin, Verina Chapman, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved her dearly.
