October 20, 1950 ~ January 31, 2023

Charlotte Ann Guidry, 72, was born October 20, 1950 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the late Theresa Guidry.  A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, she retired in education from the Calcasieu Parish School Board after 30 years of service, working at John J. Johnson Elementary School and Combre Fondel Elementary School.  Charlotte became a charter member of Lambda Gamma Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, the first black sorority at McNeese State University April 24, 1969.

She "talked" with the angels from infancy and throughout her life.Ms. Guidry departed this life Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in Lake Charles.  She leaves to mourn one daughter, Olga Monica Guidry, and a host of cousins and friends.  Her memorial service will be held at James Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 11, 2023, 1:00PM CST.  Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
