Upon completion of High School I entered McNeese State College. I attended 2 years in Business Administration. Worked at Carver Elementary School in Fisherville for a couple of years and Dr. Murray Martin for 1 year. Also worked at Citgo for a couple of Years. Relocated to Los Angeles for 4 years. Worked at Kaiser Permanente until my return to Lake Charles in 1980. Worked in Citgo and Boeing. Later opened my own business for a couple of years (Flea Market and Christian Book Store). Received an Associate Degree in Office Administration from Acadiana Technical College. Now working at SWLA Center for Health Services since 1991. Presently employed as Human Resources Manager/Corporate Compliance Officer/Executive Assistant. One of many hats.
I am deeply involved in my church (Praise Team, Church Secretary, Announcing Secretary and Program Coordinator).
My Civic duties include Board membership with the Calcasieu Women's Shelter, Rebuilding Together - Calcasieu, and Samaritan Counseling Center.
I'm learning to take one day at a time.
