Beverly Pierfax (Mearidy)

Beverly Gail Pierfax-Mearidy, 65, died Wednesday, September16, 2015, at St. Patrick's Memorial Hospital.

She was a native of Lake Charles, La.  She had lived in New Orleans, La for 37 years before returning back home to Lake Charles in 2005.  She was a member of the United States Army Reserve.  She was a Supervisor for the United States Postal Service for 25 years.  She was a member of NAPS, The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7321, LadiesAuxiliary, a volunteer for The Knights of Peter Cleaver Council & Court 168, and was associated with many other organizations.

She leaves to cherish her loving husband, Otis Mearidy of Lakde Charles, LA, nine (9) Children:  Donnell D. Watt of St. Louis, Mo, Angel and Burnadette Watt both of Lake Charles, LA, Daniel (Kandice) Watt and Reginald (Ariel) both of Houston, TX, Zakeithia (Marcus) Hercus of Minneapolis, MN, Tunika Nelson of San Antonio, TX, Sirita (Franz) Loiseau of Satellite Beach, Fl, and Bobby Britford of Columbus, OH.  She also leaves behind three (3) sisters and one (1) brother:  Edna P. Garrick, Carol P. Lewis, Kimberly Pete (Robert) and Joseph Sidney (Vernissa) Pierfax Jr., all of Lake Charles, LA.  She also leaves behind 21 beautiful grandchildren whom she cherished and loved, 10 brother-in-laws, 6 sister-in-laws, one special sister that was dear to her, Gloria W. Barker of Avondale, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, relatives and friends that were special and dear to her heart.

I will remember Beverly as a very smart person, in fact she was co-Val of our class , if I remember correctly.  Beverly was truly a nice person who loved and adored her family.  I know she will be sorely missed.  May God bless her family and give them strength.
